Anti-climatic

12 Nov

Today was my real birthday.  I celebrated with most people yesterday: 20 somethings friend, grandma, sister, brother-in-law, mom, dad, and Gibby.  Me and my sister and Gibby went to the donut shop and got donuts in the morning.  Then I had a nap.  Woke up and went to ice cream with my dad.  Went to counseling appt.  Organized my room a little, mom helped me.  Had birthday dinner with above people mentioned.  Opened most my presents (lil sis’s I will open tonight when she gets here.)  And that was about it.  Nothing really noteworthy.  I was happy 20 somethings friend got me a UC Davis sweatshirt to celebrate my conditional acceptance but I kind of had to hide it because I haven’t told my dad yet.  Which made me feel bad and awkward.  The other gifts were pretty much things I asked for on my lists.  I only got a couple cards, on from my sister that was okay and one that my grandma gives me that the money comes in.  So nothing that thoughtful.  (It was a school holiday)

Today my dad got me a donut for breakfast too.  There was one more present from my parents and my dad gave me some random money.  Lil sis is on her way here and we’re celebrating tonight.  Just probably going to go to dinner.  Had lots of “happy birthdays” on my FB wall and sort of annoyed at responding to all of them, most I wouldn’t consider real friends.  I guess I’m just grumpy today 😦

I know fb can be fake, but even though they’re not real friends, at least they took the time to comment and wish you a happy birthday, that much was nice, right? I’m glad you had a fun day. XX
