My Wellness Box

30 Jul

The outside of the box.

The box had slits in it to let the magic out.

Bubble wrap to pop when frustrated.

Brain flex stress ball.

Smaller tigger from keychain. Soft to touch.

My Wellness Journal. Here’s a post with video on more about it.

An older “book of encouragement”

iPod and earphones with soothing and distracting songs. (Really helps with voices.)

Soap bar my case manager gave me for my birthday one year.

Smooth rock (self-soothe touch also good for grounding)

Labendar bath bubbles (self-soothe smell and relaxation in the tub)

Crisis numbers.

Bath salts (smell and relaxation)

Candle (self-soothe, smell; pleasing sight of flame,)

Smash activity book (distraction)

Raspberry sorbet gum (self soothe- taste)

Lavender fragrance oil. (Self soothe, smell)

My magic wand.

Ideas and extra comments to add to wellness journal.

This is amazing and such a good idea, I love all the little details in this box. Lavender is my favourite scent, so relaxing, also great sprinkled on pillows to aid with sleeping 🙂 xx J

Thanks. I’ve definitely made it my own. I’ve gotten ideas from all over the internet but sometimes the best is concrete examples. That’s why I shared. 🙂

I absolutely love this! Thanks to https://makebpdstigmafree.wordpress.com for reblogging it first so I got chance to see it. I’ve started gathering items for my own box but always LOVE seeing what others have done as I only have a few things so far. Thanks marcimentalhealthmore.com and thanks MakeBPD StigmaFree!

I have a box too, I call it a comfort box. Perhaps you could put a fave movie in there too? Or some quotes you like. My comment to you to put in there, you can do it! Stay strong, keep fighting the good fight! It doesnt last forever! XXXX

My therapist calls this a “Self-Soothe First Aid Kit”. I should post about mine, and maybe add some more to it.

I realized after I said this that I’d mentioned it in the post Never Too Old for Crayola. I didn’t share too much detail about the kit though, and no pictures.

I think that’s great. I keep mine in my room and I know what you mean about it not being portable. I don’t work but I can’t imagine taking it to school with me each day. That was nice of you for thinking of the colored pencils, I had a similar experience but with buying a patient some clothes.

I'l love to hear your thoughts
