Marriage Equality

Same sex marriage is now legal across all 50 states. SF Pride is going to be one BIG party!!!!!

    The word is out, and it’s a good one, but it’s not the whole story.
    This battle was won, the war continues.
    I think the LGBT community got a cookie tossed to them today:

    We’ve got a law professor weighing in on the whole thing and he brings up some excellent points.
    It’s well worth the read.
    What it comes down to is this:
    in this country of ours, land of the free, home of the brave, kingdom of the privileged…
    it’s entirely legal to be black. Or Hispanic. Or Asian.
    The court of public opinion is still out on Middle Eastern and nobody seems to worry about American Indians any more.
    How are things working out for all those folks?
    Correct me if I’m wrong, but a lot of what went down today was all about a word.
    A label.
    A legal classification and tax filing status.
    But it’s a start.
