Finding Answers

12 Apr

I have a hard time being left out and I always am thinking people don’t like me or they’re just pretending to like me or using me.  This has been a big issue in the last year with acquiring a larger group of friends and not knowing where I stand with most of them.  Then the dynamics change and I feel like I have to figure it out all over again.

Last night was an eye-opener.  If people invite you somewhere and then don’t really hang out with you, there is no reason to be obsessing over not getting invited.  Plus they are not really hanging out with many people at the get together so it’s not just you.  It’s okay to go once in awhile but not my thing.

I don’t think I feel as dejected next time I realize people are hanging out without me.

I guess the next step is figuring out when I have events, who I want to invite.  And how to handle people choosing not to come.

It also helped me realize how good I have chosen with who to be closer to.
